My Approach

My first priority is building the therapeutic relationship to assure you feel safe and comfortable to begin (or continue) your healing and growth journey. Over the years with education and experience I have found how we strive for and work very hard for perfection, although perfection does not exist. We need to find the courage to be vulnerable and be who we really are, unapologetically. I like to provide a space that promotes and encourages self-compassion in a world that teaches us how to shame ourselves.

My areas of support include:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Childhood trauma

  • Life-transitions

  • Women issues

  • Parenting support

  • Work and school stress

  • Boundary setting and relationships

  • Self-compassion

  • Shame resilience

I use techniques from a wide variety of modalities so that together, we can identify and process areas of discomfort, practice self-regulation and coping skills, and reframe negative thought patterns. The modalities include but are not limited to Client Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique/tapping, Mindfulness and Ecotherapy.  I have a high interest in Neurosenquential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), although not yet certified. This foundation is helpful with being a trauma-informed therapist where I understand the current impact of childhood and past experiences.
